Cognitive Synthesis in Literary Discourse Analysis: Said Yaktine's Critique of Folk Biography as a Model.

Abstract

Through this intervention, we seek to examine the most significant critical studies that have employed a synthesis of structuralist methodology and technical sciences as a means to access the world of the Arabic literary text. The readings of critic Said Yaktine on folk biography (Sira Sha'biya) are considered among the most important contemporary critical studies to combine structural analysis with technical knowledge, in an effort to uncover the meanings and structures of folk biography texts and analyze their discourse. The results of the study demonstrate the possibility of merging critical approaches with technical knowledge to decipher the meanings of folk biography texts.
