El Omda in Linguistics and Discourse Analysis is committed to the highest standards of academic integrity. Our policies are guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure transparency and scientific rigor in linguistics and cognitive sciences.

I. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality: Submitted works must be entirely original and must not have been published or submitted elsewhere concurrently.
  • Scientific Integrity: Plagiarism, data fabrication, or manipulation of results are considered unethical and result in immediate rejection.
  • Documentation: Authors must accurately cite all sources and references following the journal’s specific academic formatting guidelines.
  • AI Tools Usage: Any use of Artificial Intelligence tools in preparing the manuscript must be disclosed. AI tools cannot be listed as authors; the human author remains fully responsible for the content's accuracy.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial support or interests that might influence the research findings.

II. Responsibilities of Reviewers

The journal operates under a Double-Blind Peer Review system. Reviewers are committed to:

  • Treating all manuscripts as confidential documents.
  • Providing objective, constructive, and timely feedback to enhance the research quality.
  • Reporting any substantial similarity to published works or potential conflicts of interest to the Editorial Board.

III. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Making publication decisions based solely on scientific merit and originality, without discrimination.
  • Ensuring the integrity of the review process and maintaining the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers.
  • Handling allegations of scientific misconduct strictly according to COPE protocols.

IV. Plagiarism Policy and Corrections

All manuscripts undergo a rigorous similarity check using approved detection tools. The journal is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record and will publish corrections or retractions if significant errors or unethical behavior are discovered post-publication.
