Tlemcen marriage, its customs and traditions, between authenticity and contemporary

This study was concerned with the developments that greatly affected the customary marriage in the city of Tlemcen. In its symbolic and semantic concept, by focusing on the factors of change that occurred in these customs and traditions and comparing them between the past and the present. This study also aims to try to reveal the reasons for the occurrence of these changes and the extent of their stability or change, and the extent to which they are adapted, by relying on the descriptive, analytical and comparative approaches.
This study concluded that the changes affected some of the customs and traditions as a result of the transition from one generation to the next, and they still retain their existence in proportion to the social conditions of the community.
