This study aimed to know the level of psychological stress among the workers of the Development Agency in Laghouat, as well as to know the differences in the level of psychological stress among the study sample according to both the age and gender variables. The descriptive approach was relied upon, and the psychological stress level scale of its owner (Redha Massoudi, 2010) was used on a sample of 37 workers from the employees of the Social Development Agency in Laghouat. After ensuring the validity and reliability of the scale and its application in the field study yielded the following results: The level of psychological stress among workers at the Social Development Agency in Laghouat is low. There were no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress among the study sample attributable to gender. There were no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress among the study sample attributable to age.
Given that the level of psychological stress among the sample members is low, and to maintain this level, we suggest working on mental health awareness programs by organizing workshops or awareness sessions on the importance of mental health and ways to deal with daily stressors in general. Promote social support and encourage a supportive work environment where employees can support each other and collaborate effectively. Therefore, any programs or initiatives aimed at improving job satisfaction or managing stress should be comprehensive and target all members of the sample without discrimination based on these variables.
