Abstract

This research paper examines rhetoric in the Arabic language curriculum in Qatar, focusing on the comparison between the primary and preparatory stages (sixth and seventh), examining rhetorical methods and images in all lessons, exercises and questions associated with them, and the information mentioned in footnotes, footnotes, and others. The research paper proposes the adoption of an integrated teaching curriculum that combines the study of rhetoric, taste, and application to it through texts, and the encouragement of creative and critical thinking, with the use of modern mechanisms and technology to support the teaching of rhetoric. The study concluded that there is a deficiency in the teaching of rhetoric in the selected curricula, despite its importance to students in both aspects (science and rhetorical appreciation), as rhetoric is a science that must be studied from the early primary stage, as it enables them to understand and analyze texts, appreciate their expressive aesthetics, and build a linguistic and literary faculty that helps them taste texts, and contributes to the improvement of the educational process.
