Abstract

This study examined certain Arabic words and phrases used in the Kannada language in order to explore their meanings and trace their connections and roots in Arabic, utilizing some Arabic dictionaries for this purpose. Notably, the researchers provided a historical background of the Kanem-Bornu region, both past and present, highlighting its geographical locations as a prelude to the study and to connect the past with the present.
