Abstract

The phenomenon of overlapping discourses appears in the contemporary novel as a manifestation of experimentation, which remains the bridge between the classical and stable models of arts and literary and creative genres and between the invented and developed patterns for them. In the context of novelist experimentation, the text’s openness to the various linguistic and non-linguistic arts of expression led to the novel’s transition from a state of purity to a state of artistic hybridity in a dynamic that reflected the representations of this gender of the intellectual and philosophical references that frame the contemporary narrative consciousness and responded to the objective conditions of both writing and receiving. This statement applies to the contemporary Arabic novel, as it applies - in the case of specification - to the Algerian novel, It also adopted the option of experimentation, and sought in its framework several expressive techniques borrowed from the rest of the arts and literary genres; Which made it rich and diversified at the level of experience. In this study, we are trying to approach the phenomenon of overlapping discourses in a specific text, which is the novel “The Crazy ones Do Not Die” by AmnaHazmoun; This is in order to reveal the technical and visionary dimensions that stand behind the employment of this technique in the mentioned novel, as well as to test the effectiveness of experimentation at this level.
