Abstract

 The current study aims to know the mechanisms of counselors in schools and professional institutions to reduce the phenomenon of violence in the school environment. To achieve this, the researchers relied on the descriptive approach for its suitability to the subject of the study, using the questionnaire as a study tool represented in the questionnaire (Mechanisms of counselors in schools and professional institutions to reduce the phenomenon of violence in the school environment) designed by the researchers, including (22) paragraphs distributed over three dimensions, which are (accompaniment, mediation and media) on a sample of guidance counselors at the level of Tamanrasset district, the number was (41) counselors distributed over 41 educational institutions in secondary and intermediate schools. The current study reached the following results: There is a difference in the use of guidance counseling mechanisms to reduce the phenomenon of violence in the school environment in favor of the accompaniment dimension. There are statistically significant differences in the guidance counseling mechanisms to reduce the phenomenon of violence in the school environment attributed to the variable of experience. This is in favor of counselors who have more than 20 years of experience. There are statistically significant differences in the guidance counselor's mechanisms to reduce the phenomenon of violence in the school environment due to the variable of specialization in favor of the psychology specialization.
