The Internet and its status among adolescents (his habits/ his needs for it/ its status)- A field study - in the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou

Abstract

Our study comes under the title: The Internet and its position among adolescents, a field study of a sample in the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou. This study aims at addressing one of the means of communication, which is the Internet. The Internet becomes an interest to all individuals and through   different age especially in the adolescence stage, which is caracterized by looking for independence, making new relations and engaging in a virtual world that the adolescent chooses for himself without any external monitoring. Yet, the use of this means among this age group differs from one individual to another according to the intention and the purpose behind. The Internet nowadays connects millions of computers and this process is still increasing. Astonishingly, it is an open global network, which creates a new generation of networking services of all kinds. he seeks to satisfy by connecting himself to the network. To achieve the objectives of the study, we built a questionnaire to collect information then, we applied it to a sample of 110 adolescents, and we relied in our study on the descriptive approach. To analyze the data, we relied on frequency tables and percentages and after the result analysis; we concluded that the Internet has great importance in all life aspects of the teenager since it is a means to help him in his studies. In other hand, we realized that he could not separate himself from it the fact that may cause him anxiety and stress in case of any trouble happening at the level of this network.
