Abstract

The field of Algerian criticism has recently witnessed significant progress and flourishing due to the efforts of a group of researchers and scholars dedicated to this academic domain. Algerian literature—its poetry, prose, texts, and issues—stands out for its creativity, genius, and inspiration. These critics have taken on the responsibility of theorizing criticism in general, and Algerian criticism in particular, by combining theoretical approaches with practical analysis of literary contributions and intellectual innovations produced by Algerian writers. In doing so, they have fostered creativity and advanced the Algerian literary and critical movement toward maturity, sophistication, and development.
