The Algerian family between yesterday and today... the birth of a modernist from the depth of authenticity - An aspect of social change in Algerian society-

Abstract

When we talk about the family system in any society, we are talking about the family pattern, the marital system, the nature of social relations, whether internal or external, the place of men and women in the family, and that's what we're going to try to focus on and highlight in an attempt to determine what Algerian traditional society was like in part. And the extent to which it is consistent and the change that is emerging, called modernity and civilization, the family as a social institution is "the main mediator between the personality of the individual and the social civilization to which he belongs, that the personality of the individual is formed within the family, and that the values and patterns of behaviour of society are largely transmitted through and strengthened by the family" (Sharabi, 1984, p. 33)
