Focus groups as a technique in qualitative social research

Focus groups are considered among the techniques and tools of qualitative social research, because they produce direct observations about people's experiences, opinions and perceptions. That is why focus groups are a fundamentally social phenomenon that is important for understanding the complex and dynamic social context in which group interviews take place and for understanding behaviors.
Therefore, this paper seeks to reveal the importance of this technique and its role in understanding the social context, especially that many researchers at different levels of knowledge do not control it properly during the field investigation, by clarifying important aspects related to the focus group technique.
