The relationship of working memory with the acquisition of oral language in the deaf child Age from 8 to 10 years

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the relationship of working memory with Oral language acquisition of 20 children, aged between 8 and 10 years, with an auditory impairment of 40 to 70 db. They have oral language and have audio aids and built-in teacher.
In order to achieve this goal, we have followed the descriptive and associative approach, after subjecting them to the test of working memory and oral language, the study reached that there is a correlation between working memory and oral language acquisition in the deaf child, and, there is a correlation between working memory and the acquisition of oral language according to the phonological ring, visual space and, central administrative. This indicates the importance of working memory in the processing of linguistic information.
