Abstract

This study focuses on the knowledge system (Episteme) in science of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence, which is concerned with the philosophy of researching the origin of knowledge in this science, the ways of its formation, research methods, its origin and completion, and the validation of the degree of validity of its knowledge product. This science accepts integration with all disciplines in terms of examining the value of fundamental knowledge as knowledge, and diagnosing the methods of its formation and methods of research in its issues. Science of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence is a major element in expressing the cognitive content of the two revelations (the Qur’an and the Sunnah), as it represents the evidence of jurisprudence and its significance for the legal rulings, and It aims to have the capacity to derive judgments from evidence that are cases investigated, not the ones in question. It also highlights its approach in the set of controls that govern the axis of the equation between the required meaning of the script and the rational meaning or Ijtihad, or between tradition and consideration. This study answers the problematic of the nature of the knowledge system (Episteme) in science of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and its pillars, the characteristics of its formation and scientific method, its maturity and completeness, and the goals achieved by this knowledge system. The appropriate method for studying this topic and answering its problematic questions is the descriptive-analytical method. One of the most important results of this study was that the system of knowledge in the science of jurisprudence is intellectual facts based on deduction, and they are connected to the national historical roots based on the one truth that allow for multiple visions about it, in an advanced, renewable, extended system that is originally reliable, preventing decay and inconsistency. The most important characteristic of the knowledge system (Episteme) in science of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence is that it opens the field of thought and the freedom of contemplation and deductive thinking. The role of the fundamentalist approach is also summarized in the production of Islamic and human knowledge, and in its superior ability to absorb new and renewable knowledge and sciences in various fields. In addition, the epistemological method of the science of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence directs mental energies to creative diligence by contemplation, reflection, and drawing inspiration from the legitimate verses of Allah in the divine signs of existence.
