Abstract

This study deals with the opinions of the Islamic jurists of the West about the formation of children in the school stage by presenting examples from these jurists, and in this study the opinions of the Qurtubian jurist Abdul Malik bin Habib Al-Salami, the Qayrawani jurist Muhammad bin Sahnoun Al-Tanukhi, and the Qabasi jurist Abu Al-Hassan Ali were chosen. And the doctor of Cyrene, Ibn al-Jazzar; The objectives of this study were centered around knowing the opinions of these jurists on some important educational issues, such as the proposed educational curriculum for children, the issue of taking a wage for discipline, and the validity of accepting gifts from parents, etc., and the descriptive approach and the historical approach were used in order to highlight the difference between the Maghreban school that It was represented by the jurist Muhammad ibn Sahnun al-Qayrawani, the jurist al-Qabisi Abu al-Hasan Ali, the doctor of al-Qayrawani Ibn al-Jazzar, and the Andalusian school represented by the Qurtubian jurist Abd al-Malik bin Habib al-Salami, and the importance of this study is highlighted in that it unveils many educational issues that the Western jurists have touched upon. Islamic education in raising children while highlighting some controversial issues of the views of these jurists regarding some educational issues, such as the issue of teaching some subjects, the issue of beating in education, taking the reward for education, and others.
