Aging and the Foundations for Physical and Mental Health: A Study in Light of Active Aging

Aging is a natural developmental stage and at the same time it is considered a very important stage in view of the crises it appears, and because of the changes it witnesses at all levels, it is characterized by weakness and weakness at the level of various physical, sensory, mental, social, and psychological functions, which follows It resulted in the emergence of many problems that hinder psychological adjustment and social adjustment in the elderly, which are generally represented in: health problems, low level of ambition, social isolation, poor quality of life, low self-esteem, dependence on others ... etc.
In view of the crises and changes taking place in the aging phase, attention has been paid to the needs and needs of older persons and to the improvement of their standard of living. The focus of researchers has been on the so-called active aging, which is also known as successful aging, which includes several aspects that, in general, constitute positive quality of life, refer to physical health, continuity of social activity, which are considered at the same time factors that achieve psychological and social compatibility in the elderly.
From this standpoint, we seek through this research paper to shed according on the physical and psychological problems in the aging stage in addition to shed according on the concept of active aging and its relationship to improving the quality of life of the elderly.
