Abstract

The status and function of women in society are one of the topics, which interest the most, the researchers in various disciplines, With economic and technological development, women's work has become a natural phenomenon. which regulates the physical needs, psychological and the increasing social expectations.

It is considered at a powerful marker of development or underdevelopment of societies. The Changes in the economic environment of societies, have enabled to women's how to participate actively in everyday life, particularly in some sectors such as: education, medicine and others. Having several informal jobs is considered a temporary or permanent solution in order to overcome the unemployment problem. Especially among women responsible for providing for their families. Indeed, the informal sector, with its diverse and multiple activities, constitutes a refuge for all those who suffer from unemployment in Algeria.

Due to the situation of the urban labor market where supply exceeds demand and where there are high rates of poverty due to the persistence and increasing inequalities between different urban groups, led to the emergence of a category of vulnerable people low income who have forced themselves to find an alternative guaranteeing their survival with dignity and rights. On the other hand, there is also a large proportion of women, who have not had the chance to get a decent job and find themselves in informal activities. In this study, we will try to diagnose the reality of women's work in the informal home sector.
