The present studu aims at assessing the effctiveness of the adapted curricula in teaching the visualyl impaired learners on the ground of the competency-based approach inadatitoon to that, to identify the major difficulties that prevent the application of this approche in teaching. To answer this question, we have made two questionnaires, one whiche examines the sucess of adapted curricula in meeting the visually impaired learners needs according to the competency based appraoche prespectivee, four areas, it deals withe learning to real and write, sensory training, physical grouth and technological needs, to other questionnaire tacles the identification of the en courrtered difficulties that prevent the adopted curricula to realise the needs of the visually impaired learners. Through the competncy –based approche. this questinnaire deals withe two areas; the first relates to conceptual difficulties, white the second is about the difficulty of in tergrating the ortical and applied learnning. henceforth, the two questionnaires were sibbtimed to a sample of 32 special teachers of vissually impaied puipels. Adescriptive approch was applied to this of study. The results revealed that curricula have some what acheived the desired objectives based on the competency –based approch. It showed also that there are difficulties prevent the achievement of thess objectives in a better way, which are again difficulties that special teachers suffer whith.
In the field, it maimly concernes with the difficulties in integrating theoritical and applied learning; besedes that, to the feild of the conceptual difficulies whiche are of cours can be researched as well as eliminated by finding solutions.
