The purpose of preserving mental health through the Sunnah

The great purpose for which God created creation is to single Him out with worship, and in order to achieve this goal, He, Glory be to Him, has legislated Shariah rulings intended to preserve what creation needs in their livelihood. He legislated for them what preserves the matter of their religion, their souls, their intellect, their offspring, and their money. Among other things, God Almighty preserved the human soul by enacting a divine approach that enhances the psychological health of the taxpayer. This study came to shed light on this approach, as it aimed to clarify the status of the Prophet's Sunnah in the field of psychological studies in general, and to highlight its effective role and correct approach in preserving the purpose of mental health in particular. It also aimed to demonstrate the importance of mental health in Islamic law, and its most important indicators through the Sunnah of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. In this study, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach based on extrapolating the texts of the Prophet's Sunnah that are related to the subject of the research, and then analyzing them to seize their benefits
and obtain their pearls. The results obtained showed how the Sunnah of the Prophet preserved the goal of human mental health, by strengthening the faith aspect of the individual, enhancing his psychological and social compatibility, and preparing the environment that embraces him. The results also showed that mental health is one of the fruits of man's approval of the instinct that God Almighty has created him with, and that the safety valve of this health is achieving servitude to God, may He be exalted, which is the general indicator that indicates it and leads to it.
