Abstract

This study aims at assessing the reality of the relationship between both of the family and the the educational, guidance, school and vocational counselors about building the study project and the vocational one for their children. Studying the obstacles that limit achieving cooperation between them. Identifying the role of the guidance counselor to strengthen the ties of cooperation between them. And at least, coming up with a suggested proposal that will help increasing the effectiveness of the role of the guidance counselor in reducing the obstacles in cooperation between the family and the school.

In order to achieve these objectives, the researchers adopted the descriptive analytical approach. On a scale of the analysis of the responses given by (21) two counselors working in the secondary schools in the Wilaya of Setif, it is confirmed that its characteristics are psychometric. Containing three areas : the reality of cooperation between parents and educational, guidance, school and vocational counselors, the obstacles to cooperation between them and the strategies preferred by counselors in question for an effective cooperation with parents on the construction of the study and vocational project for their children, which led to the following results: the level of cooperation was rated between the weak and the medium. And the most important obstacles in cooperation were the negative attitudes of parents towards collaboration with the school, the weak message of the educational institution as well as the weak training of the guidance counselors, which has an impact on the relationship. And we, finally find that the counselors develop strategies for an effective cooperation with parents.

In light of these findings, the researchers presented a proposed version to foster family participation in the process of building the study and vocational project for their children that is based on : (training and awareness for guidance counselors, education for parents, designing strategies for the implementation of proposals) and recommended to be applied by educational, guidance, school and vocational counselors.
