Level of Life Quality for Outstanding Pupils at the secondary level - Field Study (Secondary school Bousbia Saleh Abdel-Majeed - El Oued)

Abstract

This study aimed to know the level of life quality in its four dimensions (the dimension of physical health, the dimension of social relations, the dimension of mental health, the dimension of the environment) for outstanding pupils at the secondary level, as well as the differences in quality of life, The number of members of the sample (40) pupils, selected in a random way, and we followed in that descriptive approach, and to achieve the objectives of the study was applied a quality of life questionnaire prepared by the World Health Organization (1997) to suit the members of the sample, where it consists of 26 items and includes paragraphs in the positive direction and paragraphs in the negative direction, and the results of the study resulted in:

-The level of life quality for outstanding pupils at the secondary level is high.

- The level of physical health dimension for outstanding pupils at the secondary level is high.

- The level of social relations for outstanding pupils at the secondary level is high.

- The level of mental health dimension for outstanding pupils at the secondary level is high.

- The level of environmental dimension for outstanding pupils at the secondary level is high.

There are no statistically significant differences for outstanding pupils at the secondary level due to the change in the level of study.

 In light of these findings, it is recommended in the current study:

- the need to intensify and increase the number of lectures and training courses for pupils and their teachers about the quality of life and its positive impact on their educational and personal lives.

- Strengthening the sports aspect, which relates to the physical and psychological health of the categories of outstanding pupils, especially since they are in adolescence.
