Abstract

The study aims at revealing the most important aspects of the mistakes of identifying the people in the area of the reading learning difficulties experienced by the student in the third primary year, the study was conducted on a sample of third primary year pupils. A diagnostic test for identifying and reading familiar words, which includes diagnosing difficulties and which measures the difficulties of learning the Arabic language, has been applied to a sample of 20 pupils with difficulties in identifying the words as measured by the test, including the most important skills the student has to master and master at the end of the second primary year.

The results of the study concluded that:

  • The students of the study sample suffer from difficulties that appeared in the following errors of reading words that are similar in shape or sound, followed by errors of difficulty pronunciation in Tanwen and difficulty reading words that have an aggravated letter.
  • There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of oral reading skills errors for the third-year primary students in the test of diagnosing difficulties in recognizing and reading familiar words due to the gender variable.
