Abstract

This study aimed at revealing the role of the internal work environment through its dimensions (organizational structure, participation in decision-making, work systems and procedures, incentives) in reducing burnout of Algerian company's workers. For that, the descriptive approach was adopted and a questionnaire was used as a main data collection tool. It was distributed to a sample of 195 workers from the Jijel Electricity and Gas Distribution Company, who were selected using the intentional sample method. The data were processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), version 25. The study revealed a high level of burnout among workers, with an inadequate working environment for exercising their activities. It also concluded that there is a role for the internal work environment in reducing burnout  for the dimensions of participation in decision-making and, material and moral incentives, while no there is no role for the two dimensions of the organizational structure and systems and working procedures have not been recorded in reducing burnout.
