Abstract

This study aims to reveal the relationship between the three personality types A, B, and C among local community workers and psychological well-being at work; As well as the dominant pattern, and the detection of gender differences in psychological well-being at work and the three personality types (A, B, C). A sample of 276 individuals was selected using the simple random method. To achieve the purpose of the study, the measure of behavioral patterns (A-B-C) designed by (Benzerwal- Fatiha) and the measure of psychological well-being at work were applied by (Massé & al, 1998). After processing using the spss program and calculating the psychometric characteristics of both scales, α1 = 0.926 for the pattern scale, and α2 = 0.933 for the well-being scale; And the correlation of the paragraphs of the two scales together was significant at the level of significance 0.01, and therefore, all the paragraphs were accepted, and that the two scales are honest and actually measure what it was set for. The following results were also reached:

  • There is a statistically significant correlation between personality types (a-b-c) and psychological well-being at work.
  • Personality type (a) is the prevailing pattern among local community workers.
  • There are no statistically significant differences between workers of local groups in personality types (A-B-C) due to the gender variable.
  • There are statistically significant differences between the workers of the local communities in the psychological well-being at work, according to the gender variable.
