The role of sports integration in developing some adaptive behavior skills for mentally retarded children

The study aims to identify the impact of recreational sports activities on the development of social interaction among people with cerebral palsy, The research community consisted of 30 athletes from the Haodna Club for the Disabled, branch of cerebral palsy, The sample was taken by a comprehensive survey of the study population, and the researchers used the descriptive approach, With the use of the main study tool, which is the measure of social interaction, The results showed the effectiveness of recreational sports activities in developing the social interaction skills under study.Where it was noted during the periods and stages of the activities that there is intense interaction between the members of the group, especially when it comes to basic skills in football, where there was a kind of cooperation, harmony and synergy among them to overcome the various stages of activities and games in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, encouragement and interaction, especially in the skill of shooting at the goal, within the training groups. Sports and recreational activities can be seen as the driving and effective element in making this impact among children with cerebral palsy, as they have become proactive among themselves to create an enthusiastic atmosphere among them, cooperating in the completion of all sports and recreational activities required of them, whether in groups or in one group. Trying each time to open dialogues, make friends and create everything that would positive interaction between members of the group.
