In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace and Blessings be upon His Most Noble Messenger.

The Publishing Directorate and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Social and Human Sciences at the University of Mohamed Boudiaf, M'Sila, are profoundly pleased to present to our readers, researchers, and the international academic community, the First Issue of the Sixteenth Volume.

The publication of this issue occurs within a distinguished context and marks a pivotal milestone in the journal's trajectory. This year has witnessed a qualitative leap and relentless endeavors aimed at elevating the journal’s standing and advancing its internationalization. These collective efforts have culminated in the official acceptance and full indexing of the journal within the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), adhering to its rigorous international benchmarks. This academic achievement underscores our steadfast commitment to stringent scientific governance, transparency, and robust peer-review protocols. Furthermore, it reaffirms the journal's leadership in adopting the Diamond Open Access model, which renders human knowledge universally accessible to researchers worldwide without financial barriers or author-facing charges.

This structural advancement and normative elevation are naturally reflected in the scholarly caliber of the research compiled in this issue. The current volume is characterized by an outstanding thematic and methodological diversity, historically organized into several core thematic axes:

1. Epistemology, Methodology, and Sociological Schools

This axis opens the issue with a distinguished methodological dossier addressing the problematic of method in the social sciences. The contributions range from critical reviews of Karl Popper's approaches and the Chicago School's qualitative sociology to delineating operational procedures for constructing statistical tables and analyzing them sociologically. Additionally, it explores the cognitive benefits of utilizing previous literature in social research and the strategic mechanisms of interpretation.

2. Digital Technology, Media, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

This section dedicates a substantial analytical space to the structural impact of the digital revolution on knowledge production and society. It features critical readings of cultural industries in the digital platform era through the theoretical lens of the Frankfurt School, alongside evaluations of the challenges confronting media research in transitioning to the paradigms of Artificial Intelligence and digital multimedia tools. On an operational level, the section evaluates the effectiveness of digital municipalities and biometric documentation within the local administrative strategy of M'Sila.

3. Psychology, Educational Sciences, and Therapeutic Interventions

This axis encompasses vital empirical and clinical studies addressing the core of educational and psychological realities. It investigates school bullying and its psychological, physical, and linguistic ramifications on students with learning difficulties, alongside analyzing phonological awareness as a predictive indicator of spelling performance difficulties, and examining orthographic mistakes among non-hearing children with cochlear implants. This is complemented by research on parental roles in developing life skills for children with special needs and primary school teacher training.

4. Sharia, Legal, and Economic Studies

This domain intersects jurisprudential depth with forward-looking developmental frameworks. It features rigorous legal and Sharia-based research evaluating the concept and foundations of temporary endowment (Waqf) according to the Maliki school, the methodological approaches to weighing conflicting Hadiths, and corporate governance dividend policies in private banks, alongside examining civil society as a structural pillar for national development in Algeria.

5. Historical, Media, and Sports Studies

The issue completes its scientific spectrum with papers documenting Algerian history during the 17th century through local primary sources (travelogues), and exploring the conditions of Ottoman expansion in the Maghreb. Media studies are represented through an investigation into the employment of photojournalism on the front pages of specialized Arab newspapers, while physical education studies explore the motivational drivers propelling female students to pursue sports specialization.

In presenting this intellectually rich and internationally indexed forum, the Publishing Directorate extends its deepest gratitude and appreciation to all contributing authors from various universities. Special thanks are also due to the members of the Scientific Committee, our esteemed peer reviewers, the technical teams, and the platform engineers whose dedication and expertise were instrumental in achieving this international advancement and securing our indexing in the DOAJ.

We wish our readers and researchers across the globe an engaging and intellectually enriching journey through the pages of this issue.
