Abstract

For centuries the arabs lives in a situation characterized by a prominent feature of underdevelopment at all levels economic social political and even Intellectual . Intellectual projects since the dawn of the arab renaissance were divided into two main trends a trend that sees that overcoming the historical delay of the arabs can only be achieved by returning to ready models the other . another trend is that returning to the past and sticking to it is the only way to eliminate arab underdevelopment .in this context wich was overshadowed by the ideological debate it crystallized after the defeat of 1967 . the criticaldiscours of abdallah al araoui who stressed that underdevelopment and dependency impeded the modernization of the arab mind .integrated project on the Arab historical reality and its future destiny. Among the core issues he raised in his project were the issues of historical delay, ideological criticism, the historical approach and its relationship to the scientific revolution.ll his historical and intelectuel writings were an analysis of the modernityits problems and its obstacles . and he believed that the arab
involvement in the project of modernity requires that the arab intellectuals submit to the elements of historical
thought .and adopt a historical vision that allows him to modernize the arab mindset and overcome historical delay.
