Abstract

Coincided with the sweeping of technological development in all areas of human life at the level of the group and the individual, the emergence and wide spread of the use of the so-called digital technology, thanks to which it was easier for humans to use the machine and became more quality and useful at cost and less effort in all areas of life, including the field of media and mass communication. Thanks to this development, this era has become described as the era of speed or the era of the media and information society, which produced many changes and transformations that affected the media and communication, including audio radio, through various technical aspects in terms of broadcasting devices, receivers or the quality of broadcasting.
Rather, several questions were raised about the nature and future of radio in this digital age, in particular, and the emergence of new forms of hybrid media that combine the characteristics of all mass communication media from written text such as newspapers and sound and sound effects such as radio and motion pictures such as television, and even that digital technology affected and Concretely on the human element in the field of media and the fields related to it, And the fact that the radio word distinguished itself with a positive force and multiple characteristics such as high speed and overcoming spatio-temporal barriers in addition to overcoming the illiteracy barrier and providing news and services for all groups of tastes around the clock. Through the word and sound effects, the radio is distinguished by being close to the original national values, cultures and ideas by producing high-quality, low-cost and multi-program programs that reach various remote and remote areas, which helps the radio to maintain an important media position in the digital age in light of contemporary technological and social challenges.
