Abstract

This article offers a semiotic approach to analyzing the poem "..Haneen" by Ammar
Benlokrichi, emphasizing the interplay between signs, symbols, and underlying meanings
within the text. The analysis begins with the title, which suggests a complex emotional state
blending nostalgia with estrangement, and then proceeds to examine the linguistic, phonetic,
and visual imagery that reframe traditional symbols such as "the sun," "the palm," and "the lily"
within a contemporary existential context.
. The study is based on integrating key concepts such as identity, selfhood, and affective
communication, drawing on contemporary Arabic critical studies that underscore the
multiplicity of meanings in modern poetic texts
