Cyber-bullying behavior among children as a new form of bullying (Causes, effects and confrontation strategies)

Abstract

Cyberbullying which is a type of agressive behavior has become one of the most important dangers of internet among the children. The aim of this paper is to define this behavior and phenomenon by adressing its concept as a behavior based on harming the other –specially children- using technological means; types and risks such as anger, electronic harassment, violation of privacy, exclusion; as well as, the impacts of cyberbullying on victims and bullies including depression, poor self-esteem, and psychological problems that cause stress and hatred to contemplate suicide; in addition to the roles of different categories in order to provide protection for the child by giving some strategies & solution like: the necessity of activating media education, raising awareness, activating psychological accompaniment, providing love atmosphere & opportunities for emotional expression through play, also enhancing the child's self-confidence in addition to the need to rationalize the use of the Internet.
