Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of burnout in its three dimensions (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization of others, feeling of reduced personal accomplishment) among workers with fixed-term contracts, in the group of Algerian institutions. The descriptive analytical approach was relied upon to suit the nature of the study, where the researcher used the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), which was applied to a sample of 187 workers who were randomly selected from the study population consisting of 568 temporary workers.164 questionnaires were retrieved at 87.70%. After statistical treatment and analysis, a set of results were reached, the most important of which were: The presence of a high level of burnout in its three dimensions (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization of others, feeling of reduced personal accomplishment) among workers with fixed-term contracts. There are differences in the level of burnout among workers with fixed-term contracts due to the variable nature of the employment sector (service / economic) in favor of workers in the service sector.
