Attitudes of primary school teachers towards the integration of children with special needs in the regular classes in Algeria

The current study aims to research of educational integration project with special needs into the regular educational classes in Algeria, and the most important difficulties facing the project to integrate this category according to the awareness of primary school teachers, knowing their opinions and views towards integrating children into class with their ordinary peers, to answer the questions raised we chose the descriptive and analytical approach, it is suitable for this type of research, because the elementary school teacher is an important and effective member for the success of the integration project, this category was chosen in order to know their views on this process, the study sample consisted of (94) male and female teachers from some elementary schools in the governorate of Sidi Bel Abbes, the research relied on a questionnaire designed specifically for this purpose. The study concluded a set of results that contribute to caring for children with special needs and ensuring them educationally, the most important of which are: The opinions of primary school teachers towards the integration of children with special needs in the educational classes of ordinary in Algeria are negative, there are many difficulties on many levels which hinder the integration of special groups into the educational classes of ordinary children, it can be overcome by helping teachers with training and support programs to enhance their abilities in dealing with; we must also review the physical school environment as part of the integration project.
