Abstract

The aim of our study is to identify the nurses' attitude towards occupational health -and safety programs at Ahmed Nouaouria hospital-Annaba. Where the study aims to reveal the nurses' attitudes towards the programs related to personal protective equipment, the application of disciplinary measures and awareness methods. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, we have formulated the following hypotheses, there are a positive attitude among nurses towards: the personal protective equipment available to them, a disciplinary measures andthe awareness method used to improve the behaviorof workers to achieve occupational health and safety at Ahmed Nouaouria hospital- Annaba. In our study, we have relied on the descriptive approach, as it is commensurate with the nature and characteristics of the study. In order to collect data from the study sample, a questionnaire was applied to a sample which consists of 37 male and female nurses, that was selected in a simple random way from the departments of the Obstetrics Department and the Department of General Surgery for Children. For the purpose of statistical treatment, two methods of descriptive statistics have been relied upon, which are percentages and arithmetic mean. Finally, the results of the study concluded: there is a positive trend for patients towards programs which related to the provision of personal protective equipment and to awareness methods and there is a negative trend for patients towards the program related to disciplinary procedures at Ahmed Nouaouria Hospital - Annaba.
