Abstract

The current study aimed to deal with the phenomenon of drug trade and promotion, a phenomenon that has been increasing year after year, especially in light of the social change that Algerian society knows in the social, cultural and economic fields, which led to the appearance of some manifestations of delinquency and crime, which society is not familiar with this curve. And what increases its danger is that it affects the active group in society, the youth group, which is the basis of production and the pillar of development, not to mention its extension to the category of events. In addition to the fact that the drug problem prevents the progress of society in various areas of development, it harms individuals and human as well as societal potentials alike.

The study found that there was a set of overlapping and interactive circumstances and factors, combined and worked together and created the field to enter the world of drug trafficking, family circumstances and smooth social control factors and the decline in the role of the family as the basic unit in society from that role that guarantees a cohesive and solidarity life, as well as economic conditions, especially if the peer community is as bad as it was, with the facilities in obtaining narcotic substance in view of the huge amount of drugs that enter into National territory.
