The present study aimed to investigate the level of sibling bullying among a sample of second-year secondary school students at Ahmed Kossiba High School in Laghouat, as well as to identify differences in sibling bullying levels according to the variables of gender and academic stream. The study relied on the descriptive method and was conducted on a randomly selected sample of 50 students. The "Sibling Bullying Scale" (Ayash Sabah, 2020) was used, along with statistical methods, which revealed the following results:
- The level of sibling bullying among second-year secondary school students in Laghouat is low.
- There are statistically significant differences in sibling bullying levels attributed to gender, in favor of males.
- There are statistically significant differences in sibling bullying levels attributed to academic stream, in favor of science students.
These findings are important for the family and cultural context in influencing this phenomenon, with the need for educational and social interventions to promote positive fraternal relations, we hope that this study will be a step towards a deeper understanding of fratricidal bullying in the Algerian context, and contribute to building a more cohesive and tolerant society. The role of educational institutions, especially the school, must be activated to take care of eliminating such behaviors, especially in adolescence, and to try to invest in it mentally, psychologically, as well as behaviorally
