Investigating the Content Based Perspectives of the Literature Circles on the Students’ Literary Response

This study investigates the content-based perspectives of the literature circles on the reader response. The study was carried out as an experimental research with a total of 60 second-year students at the department of English Language and Literature at Mohamed Lamine Debaghine, Setif2 University. The study concluded that the literature circles are effective in developing students’ abilities to understand, interpret, and respond to a literary text. Besides the implementation of this strategy, a number of related recommendations were suggested.
