Forms of practiced violence in educational institutions in Algeria and its effect on the conduct of educative process - A study in some intermediate schools in the city of M’sila

The present study entitled: Forms of practiced violence in educational institutions in Algeria and its effect on the conduct of educative process - A study in some intermediate schools in the city of M’sila- has treated an important subject in the social and educational life of Algerian society, where violence has become a widespread behavior in almost all institutions of society. This psychosocial phenomenon is not limited to individuals but also to institutions, including educational establishments. This study aims to answer the following research question: What are the forms of violence practiced in schools in Algeria? And what are their consequences on the conduct of educative process? according to the actors in the establishments targeted by the practical study, namely directors, their deputies, teachers and supervisors, through a questionnaire intended for a sample of 76 people by applying the analytical descriptive method appropriate to the nature of the subject. After statistical processing of obtained data, we concluded that all violence forms were practiced in these institutions and that moral violence was the most widespread. This form of violence has negative consequences on the socio-educational interaction, functionality and students’ academic achievement and thus on the whole educative process.
