Abstract

This study seeks to determine the relationship between burnout among working women in positions of leadership and occupational compatibility. It employs a correlational descriptive approach and relies on the Maslach Burnout Inventory  which consists of 22 items related to an individual's feeling about his profession, and is divided into three dimensions: emotional stress dimension which includes 9 items, feeling dullness in feelings which includes 5 items, feeling of lack of personal achievement which includes 8 items, A questionnaire about occupational compatibility consisting of 40 sections was designed and distributed among a sample of 117 working women in leadership positions in the city of El Eulma. For data statistical processing, we used the Pearson correlation coefficient; the results are as follows: There is a moderate negative correlation at a significance level of 0.01 between emotional stress and occupational compatibility among women in leadership positions, and There is a weak negative correlation at asignificance level of 0.01 between emotional blunting and occupational compatibility among women in leadership positions, and There is a moderate negative correlation at a significance level of 0.01 between the feeling of inefficacy and occupational compatibility among women in leadership positions, and There is quite astrong negative correlation at asignificance level of 0.01 between burnout and occupational compatibility among women in leadership positions.
