Abstract

This study focuses on discovering the way to organise a preschool class space at a primary school. Throughout describing and analysing the reality of an example of a preschool class belonging to some district’s primary schools in M’sila.

First, asking the following most important question: whether the real practice of these preschool classes is the actual embodiment of the legislative laws? In another way, are these classes which have preschoolers who are under the age of 6 who are between early childhood and before school stage children, organised according to the legislative laws of the national education ministry? Do these classes look like other classes at school?

To answer the following questions, we have to take in consideration a group of following necessary indications:

- Presentation of the content of these laws and analysing them.

- Observation of the sample of preschool classes at primary schools which is considered as an attraction for children at this age. And that through applying an observation system prepared by the researcher.

The descriptive analytical method used in this study is viewed as the most appropriate approach. After showing the content of these legislative laws and the referential documents, field visits and applying the research tool, showing the results and analysing them, we can say that there’s no difference between preschool classes and normal classes. From the organization and division of the class part, preschool classes lack privacy. The children are put in fixed places with lined up tables similar to the other classrooms. They are divided according to their ages and sizes. There were no enough places for kids to move freely. There was a lack of toys for kids. Even though, kids at this stage need to play more than to learn the alphabet and numbers.
