Abstract

Abstract: In this article, we learn about the developments that have occurred in the field of medicine and biology, and how scientists have been able to overcome many of the obstacles preventing the discovery of the secrets of living organisms, especially humans. The importance of this matter increased when they were able to disassemble the genetic card by disassembling the human genome, thus making it possible for scientists to identify genetic traits, defects and diseases, which made some people and organizations revive the idea of evolutionary improvement, and attempt to produce humans with desirable traits from certain parties that are implanted in the fetus before birth. This renewed ambition among supporters of evolutionary improvement made Habermas intervene to show its danger to the genetically modified person in the future, by showing the difference between therapeutic intervention and evolutionary intervention, then specifying the reasons for his acceptance of the first intervention and his rejection of the second, to finally embody his fears that are contrary to morality in the future if what the supporters of evolutionary improvement aim for is achieved. This speech that Habermas expected has actually happened now, after the development in the field of medicine more, with its invention of new, more accurate and advanced means and methods, and the demands of this movement have been revived again despite the existence of moral bodies opposing it, so humanity must agree on a single decision to stop these immoral behaviors, otherwise humanity will be destroyed
