COPE-style Clarification Notice (Legal & Ethical Version)

Clarification Notice Regarding Prior Publication and Subsequent Unauthorized Republishing

The Editorial Board of the Journal of Social and Human Sciences – University of M’sila issues the following formal clarification in accordance with the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The article entitled:

“تجليات البعد الديني في بيان أول نوفمبر 1954م - قراءة في البيان”
Author: Fatima Tahiri

was originally published in this journal on 15/06/2016 (Vol. 06, Issue 01).

Following a post-publication review and verification process, it has been established that the same article was later republished in another journal (عصورJournal, Vol. 16, Issue 1, pp. 214–234, 30/06/2017) without prior authorization from the original publisher or proper disclosure by the author.

This constitutes a violation of internationally recognized publication ethics standards, including those defined by COPE, specifically regarding:

Duplicate publication
Failure to disclose prior publication
Breach of transparency in scholarly communication

Editorial Position

In accordance with COPE guidelines, the Editorial Board clarifies that:

The original publication in this journal (2016) remains the authoritative version of record.
The subsequent republication without authorization is considered ethically inappropriate duplication.
No retraction is applied to the original publication, as it represents the legitimate first publication of the work.
This notice is issued solely to ensure transparency, integrity, and the accuracy of the scholarly record.
