Vertigo of a rhetorical labyrinth in the writing of Tahar Ben Jelloun
Keywords:
Labyrinth, Vertigo/disjunctiv list, Tahar Ben JellounAbstract
The rhetorical figure of the disjunctive list stands out as a singular stylistic trait
in the romantic universe of Tahar Ben Jelloun. In doing so, many in this
enumerative enterprise update and mimic the labyrinthine figure. This article is
therefore interested in highlighting this entanglement, through which the
tropological rewrites the maze. By organizing itself on the model of flow and
accumulation, of the motley multitude, the list verbalizes an undeniable scriptural vertigo.through a
isparate sequence, disunited on a paradigmatic and
syntagmatic scale, the labyrinthine vein is reconstituted.
