Abstract

The geography of the Islamic conquests in the African Sahel and the Sahara expanded due to several factors, including what is related to the teachings of the Islamic religion, in addition to the commitment of the Muslim conquerors to the values of tolerance and the prior desire for coexistence with those peoples who continue with them. Hausa is one of the languages that exchanged with Arabic in terms of give and take. It borrowed many Arabic words, especially in the two fields: religious and commercial. And I want from researching the relationship of the Arabic language with the Hausa language to reveal the most important results of this linguistic interaction between them on the lexical level of the Hausa language. The study concluded by presenting examples of lexical borrowing from Arabic to Hausa
