For different generative-transformational variants in the first language and the second language

The emergence of modern linguistics and its various linguistic studies and research have made
significant contributions to the field of language education. In this research ،we will discuss
the teaching of the first language (mother tongue) and the second language from the
perspective of generative-transformational grammar ،which emerged as a reaction to
structuralist theory. This study examines the key principles on which the generativetransformational theory relies in language teaching ،as well as its main critiques of
structuralism. Additionally ،it highlights the contributions of this theory to the pedagogical
process. Finally ،the research addresses the differences between acquiring a native language
and a foreign language
