Rooted in the recognition of health as a human right, the essential need for healthcare as a fundamental social requirement, and the belief in the crucial role of the human element—with its capabilities, competencies, knowledge, and experience—the study examines intellectual capital and its impact on developing health services. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the investigation reviews literature from books, records, documents, and previous studies as secondary sources to delineate the theoretical variables. Field data were gathered through a questionnaire administered to a random sample of 100 employees from the EHS Mother and Child Hospital “Kaki Mohammed” in the Djelfa province, with the data subsequently processed and analyzed using various tests and statistical methods via SPSS v22.The study yielded significant findings: indicators of intellectual capital related to the structural dimension were present, while those pertaining to human and relational dimensions were absent. Furthermore, positive indications emerged regarding the development level of health services at the institution. The findings confirmed that intellectual capital, particularly through the structural dimension, plays a key role in enhancing health services, accounting for 66% of the observed service improvements. Additionally, no statistically significant differences were found in respondents’ attitudes toward the study variables based on personal and professional factors—except for age. The study recommends emphasizing intellectual capital through training programs, capacity building, and improved work environments to enhance healthcare service performance.
