Abstract

The current study aimed to reveal the degree of happiness among a sample of Algerian society members with a university level, highlighting the forms of volunteer work represented in four main forms: Individuals who do volunteer work within an organized framework (associations, organizations, institutions), individuals who do volunteer work within a group and outside the organized framework (not belonging to any association, organization, or institution of a voluntary  nature), individuals who rarely do volunteer work in a collective framework but do It individually, and individuals who rarely do volunteer work، whether individually or collectively, and then we revealed the differences in the degree of happiness of the aforementioned groups. In our study, we relied on the Oxford Happiness List, the version designed by Hills & argyle (2002). Translated by (Mouchmouche Badreddine، 2024)

- The final study sample consisted of 200 individuals, all are university-level.

- The study revealed that members of Algerian society with a university level have an above-average degree of happiness

- it has also been found that people who volunteer in an organized framework (associations, organizations, institutions) and people who volunteer in groups and outside the organized framework (not belonging to any association, organization or institution of a voluntary nature) enjoy a high degree of happiness compared to people who rarely volunteer in groups but do so individually and individuals rarely volunteer, individually or collectively.
