Abstract

The current study aims to investigate the relationship between family communication and psychological security among third-year secondary school students, as well as to explore gender differences in both variables. To verify the study's hypotheses, we administered both the Family Communication Scale (Amroun Lazhar and Jamila El Kheir, 2021) and the Psychological Security Scale (Zineb Chaqir, 2005) to a sample of 80 students. Third-year secondary school students were randomly selected from both (Khawas Hassan) High School and (Al-Ikhwa Abbas) High School in Tizi Ouzou Province. After statistical processing, application of the SPSS statistical package, and analysis of the results, we arrived at the following: There are no statistically significant differences in family communication among third-year high school students according to the gender variable. - There are no statistically significant differences in psychological security among third-year high school students according to the gender variable.
