Mental Health in Ibn Khaldun Tiaret University Students Comparative study of some personal variables in the Department of Social Sciences

Abstract

The present study aims to explore the reality of mental health in a sample of students of the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Tiaret, based on the mental health measure of university students prepared by the Arab environment Abu Asaad (2001). The measure consists of 15 words after verifying the procedures of honesty and stability in the Algerian environment by the researchers. The scale was applied to a sample of 300 students from the Department of Social Sciences. The study data was analyzed by the Statistical Program of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), based on a set of statistical methods, and the researchers found that the members of the study sample from the students of the Department of Social Sciences enjoy a high degree of mental health, and it was found that there were no significant differences Statistically between males and females in the degree of mental health, while it was found that there are statistically significant differences in the degree of mental health due to the variable of the academic level in favor of the third year of the Bachelor’s degree, and the study also found that there is no interaction between sex and the academic level in influencing the degree of mental health for The sample members, and the study was concluded with some important recommendations and suggestions regarding concern for mental health in the university environmen
