Building a scale of school adaptation among a sample of second-year primary school pupils - a field study in the elementary school of the martyr Al-Dama ’Yusef in Al-Mujbara, Wilaya of Djelfa

The study aimed to build a scale of school maladjustment of a sample of 108 pupils of second-year in primary school in the city of Djelfa. We used a questionnaire that included 45 paragraphs from three alternatives <always, sometimes, never> and the scale was formulated in its final form of 39 paragraphs. It was distributed on three axes: <Adaptation to the school's internal system, Adaptation to the classroom, Adaptation to the studied material> and each of the previous axes was divided into three dimensions and each dimension to five indicators where the dimensions of the first axis were represented according to the adaptation to the school's internal law, adaptation to the comrades in the schoolyard, and with the administration. As for the dimensions of the second axis, they were about the adaptation to the teacher, adaptation to comrades, and adaptation to the physical characteristics of the department. As for the dimensions of the third axis, they were composed of scientific materials, emotional materials, and the adaptation to preservation materials. We used the following statistical methods in this study: - <t> Test - Correlation coefficient. The psychometric properties of the scale like honesty and reliability were calculated and represented. We have reached the following: Building a measure of a poor school adaptation of second- year primary school pupils have psychometric properties and is regulated by the Algerian environment.
