Positive thinking and its relationship to psychological compatibility for second year secondary school students

Abstract

The present study aimed to reveal the relationship between positive thinking and psychological compatibility among second-year secondary school students in the city of M'sila, in addition to the possibility of predicting positive thinking and psychological compatibility among students. The researchers used the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the current study, the study sample consisted of (80) male and female students studying in The second year of secondary school, and they were chosen in a simple random way, where the positive thinking scale of the researcher was applied to them (Shahd, 2012), and the psychological compatibility scale prepared by the researcher (Attia Hana, 1986), the study reached the following results:

- There is a statistically significant correlation relationship at the level of significance (α =0.05) between positive thinking and psychological compatibility among second-year secondary school students.

- There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) between second-year secondary students in the level of positive thinking due to the study variables (gender, academic specialization).

- There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) among students of the second year of secondary school in the level of psychological compatibility due to the study variables (gender, academic specialization).
